    Pos-Doc Researcher (FCT). Present research interests: Synthesis and characterization of novel heterocycle-based Two-Photon Absorbing (TPA) organic molecules for several optical applications. Design, synthesis and characterization of fluorescent heterocyclic systems for several optical and electronic applications: - nonlinear optical (NLO); - colorimetric and fluorimetric heterocyclic chemosensors for proton, anions and cations;

    and organic light emmiting diodes (OLEDs).PARTICIPATION IN PROJECTS:POCTI/QUI/46409/2002Title: Synthesis of dyes for ink-jet printing with improved water fastness properties October 2003 to October 2005 (BI researcher)(PTDC/QUI/66250/2006) (member of the team): “Development of new heterocyclic compounds as luminescent and colorimetric chemosensors: metallic anion and cation detection”.
